A clamp is also another camera stand that is portable and small. However, you will need something to secure it to. You will be more efficient if you combine a clamp and a table tripod.

A photographer’s bean bag is also a superb camera stand. It is designed to properly mount on a window or door of a car so that it can support a camera. The major drawback of this is that you have to find something to place the bean bag on like a wall with just the right height and place, or the roof of your car. However, you cannot always find something to put it on.

If you do not have anything to use as a camera stand you can simply use the window of your car. If you do not have enough time, roll down the car window to the exact height you need and put the lens on that. It is not as effective as the others but it is much better than hand-hold a heavy camera. If you are going to do this, you have to turn off the car engine and tell everyone inside the car to sit still.

There are occasions when you have to take pictures but you do not have a camera stand. If you do not have anything to use at all, here are some tips that will help you take sharp photographs anytime.

Use the widest lens and fastest shutter speed possible. Use your body as your tripod. Position the camera to your eye and create the picture. Breathe in and out, and press the camera from top and bottom in order to discharge the shutter. If you squeeze on the top side alone, it will move the camera.
